They are interesting words, and don't always mean what they seem. Something that is worthless to you might be priceless to someone else. What something is actually worth in $$$$ doesn't always determine whether it is priceless to a person. And something could have very little actual worth in money, but you might consider it priceless - for example, my father's old bathrobe is priceless to me because he passed away 26 years ago, but in terms of $$$$$ it is actually worthless. My daughter used to have a life size cardboard cutout of Wayne Gretzky (from some commercial he did) and to her it was priceless - to me it was worthless.

Also, think of the words "worth" and "price". What something is worth doesn't always determine its price - note the great deals you can sometimes find in second hand stores.

So worthless means having no monetary value, while priceless means too precious to have any monetary value. Something that is priceless, could also be worthless.

Priceless means it has so much value to you that you cant put a price on it or you would never get rid of it.
Worthless means something has no value and you wouldnt even spend a penny on it.
Have you ever heard "one persons trash is anothers treasure"?. Something could be priceless to you and worthless to someone else.
so no you cant really differ worthless from priceless.

They both depend on who's saying it. It's like the saying: "One man's trash is another man's treasure." Priceless things are the t hings you will never let go, and worthless things are the things that when deciding what to put out for the garage sale, you don't think a second time about it.

They're opposites. Worthless means it's worth nothing. Priceless means it's worth so much that you can't put a price on it.

Something worthless is not worth having, but something priceless is so valuable, it would be impossible to calculate its value.

Worthless means that it isn't worth anything. No worth can ever be attached to it b/c it has no value or worth.

Priceless means that it's so valuable that no price can ever be attached b/c of its great worth.
