Just wondering if anyone has IBS and if your taking over the counter meds for it, and what are you taking? I have been to the Doctor, and he told that I do have IBS, but just told me to take more fiber, which I am doing but that doesn't help with the cramping or having to go....to the bathroom within 30 to 60 minutes after eating a meal....I hate this.....I am so frustated with this but the Doc didn't seem to care. Anyway any help or adivse would be great.

Myhusband has ibs really bad. He takes Digestive Advantage. Its for IBS. He got it at Walmart and its only $9.99. He has excellent results. His cramping is gone and is bms are much better, He used to have the same bathroom issue after he ate. Not really much anymore. Believe being married to this man with IBS and not having this OTC medication is bad for me . Trust me ..It works. It takes a week to two weeks to work it says on the box. we both noticed results in a couple days

I do have IBS and all I do is take a fiber supplement every day. That helps more than the prescription medications for me. It takes about 6 months before you notice any change. However, changing your diet helps a lot! You should avoid wheat, and replace it with other fibrous foods.
