Have you ever seen the original 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'? Based on a true story, this itself is enough to give me the creeps.

Yeah, it's tough to get a good scare on. Depends on what freaks you out.
Some movies that scared me when I was a kid--The Thing, Poltergeist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser--don't do a thing now.
There's the jump-scare type and the psychological type, I prefer the latter. For some reason a movie called "Session 9" stuck with me for several weeks, you could give that a shot. Mmm, abandoned mental hospital.

Halloween always scared me because you can run but you can't hide...freak me out. I love horror movies! I like What lies beneath , Dawn of the Dead - I like because it could happen... and I've had dreams about being chased by zombies...Actually the only part that freaks me out was the begining. I like House of a thousand corpes! True storey.. there are people like that.. chain saw movie.. I laugh at cause it's not scarey...Um hear one that freaked me out was "13 Ghosts".. The jackel scares me the most.. watch that one..

Here's one you probably haven't heard of but might find to be the "break" you need. Try "The Changling" starring George C. Scott. It doesn't use gore and blood to scare you, it uses your imagination and is a plaing good ole' scarry movie.

You don't need a horror movie to feel fear. Real horror is seeing your grandfather dying in your arms because he was denied the right to live by his sons and daughters. Real horror is seeing people dying, being butchered, raped or robbed, and being totally denied of their rights to be human and to be free. Horror movie? Watch real life...it's scarier.
