I'm also looking for a low expense ratio and a minimum investment of less than $5,000 US

I was thinking one similar to Vanguard's S&P 500 index fund, I can't seem to find any similar on morningstar.ca and I've looked at 2 other ones but they too were US only.

Given Canada's exposure to commodities, natural resources and good banks, I think you're better off putting your US 5K into a CANADIAN index, not a US one (which I think you might be doing).

Look up i-shares (from Barclays), which trade in real time on the TSX like common shares, but represent various indices.

I recommend the 'guaranteed-to-make -(me)-10% fund', handled exclusively by me for Canadians.

Simply send all your money (in AMERICAN DoLLARS please) to me at: Makingmoneyinthestockmaket@ripyouoff.con

You will receive a beautiful embossed piece of paper with the number of shares you own, redeemable at any time upon request; (provided the markets are still open, the company still exists, Kim Pdongdong hasn't nuked the US, ... some other minor restrictions apply).

Visa and Mastercard welcome.

Be the first on your block to receive the GUARANTEED over 10%! Don't delay; contact us today!

Interesting question. What type of index are you interested in?

Go to http://www.moringstar.ca and you should be able to do a search based on your criteria.
