1 mg is twice as much as 0.5 mg......so with a prescription of 1 mg, you'll get double the medicine of a 0.5 mg prescription.

mg is short for milligram. A milligram is one thousandth of a gram. 0.5 mg is one half of one thousandth of a gram. One gram is the maximum amount one letter can weigh before the Post Office makes you add more postage.
