Rock should win regardless of what the other person picks because rock can smash scissors and even tho paper can cover rock I don't think you would want to bring paper to a rock fight.

Rock wins because if the other player does paper, you just punch them with your rock. Of course, paper would win the round and would be high-fiving everyone before you could punch them. But if someone threw scissors, they could do a Three Stooges move on ya real quick, too.
Hmm. Maybe we should add a third choice...STICK...using a single, choice finger on the hand. That one would trump the three put together.

If rock always wins, there is no game - just a lot of people shouting Rock! Perhaps there is something important on the rock that is lost once it is covered with paper, some how?

Depends on the paper...
The Declaration of Independance was more effective than a whole lot of rock throwing and if you have pictures of the right presidents on your paper then it's going to beat the stone-agers every time.
Watch out for scissors though!

the thing i'm mad about is that i always thought it was paper rock scissors not Rock, Paper, Scissors. am i the only sane person on yahoo ?

the whole point is that one tem wins to one and loses to another.
u are right how rock would definately beat paper but this is a game for children and they are being taught that the world is even
