Soulmate or not?

Do you think that most people marry their soulmate or just settle?
Do you think that you can be married and find someone else who could be your soulmate?

im wondering this myself right now as well. and yes, i think that poeple settle all the time. probly more than they should

I definitely do not think that most people marry their soul mates. The high divorce rate in this country proves that. However, I don't think that most people settle either. My thought is that many people either rush into marriage, or get married for the wrong reasons: like getting someone pregnant, or marrying for money or some other advantage. Soul mates are a rare commodity. Many folks wander around for their entire lives and never find theirs. In those cases, perhaps they do settle for someone so they are not lonely. But, to reinforce my point, I think that most people don't settle for someone; they marry for the wrong reasons. Good question. Thanks.

I definitely settled my first couple of times. Once I had decided to leave my ex husband, I had met someone else. We waited until I left my ex for good, then we started dating. I am now divorced and am living with my fiance (waited until I was divorced before we moved in together). My fiance, I feel, is my soulmate, my one true love. I sure wish I had met him 21 years ago before I met my ex! Then my life would have turned out totally different. But, then again, my fiance wouldn't have his 3 daughters either. So, I guess it worked out for the best/the right way.

I musta settled my first & second marriage but I have finally found my soul mate & he will be my third & last husband for I see a long hppy future with him!! ;-)
