I am a General Manager for a quick service restaurant and looking to change careers or something better than what I am doing currently. There is no need for rude comments, if you have nothing polite to say do not comment here. You will be reported. I am looking for suggestions not criticism.

You probably possess what are called "transferable skills." By managing the restaurant, you have some experience in human resources, customer services, inventory control, scheduling, etc.

I would suggest that you go to the local community college's career counseling center. They should have some computer-based tests that you can take that will measure your interest and aptitude for a variety of professions.

Good luck! I applaud your desire to better yourself!

Get motivated and off the computer. Start knocking on some doors. What are you qualified to do? What area do you live in? What is available?
