if re pugs...want to be opposite of democrats..isn't it nice to know were open minded..and they are self centered...narrow minded?...by the way..meaning of liberal as follows,
LIBERAL, GENEROUS, BOUNTIFUL, MUNIFICENT mean giving or given freely and unstintingly. LIBERAL suggests openhandedness in the giver and largeness in the thing or amount given . GENEROUS stresses warmhearted readiness to give more than size or importance of the gift . BOUNTIFUL suggests lavish, unremitting giving or providing . You do realize that there is a difference between liberal in the dictionary and being liberal in politics don't you? You define liberals as open minded yet republicans as close minded, why because republicans disagree with your viewpoint? Seems like you're the one being closed minded. Plus republicans are not against generosity they just believe that there are better ways of helping people then just giving a free hand out. There's an old saying "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"

That sounds like the definition of 'liberal' in the dictionary, but a definition of liberal as in being leftist or on the right end of the spectrum. Also, different people have their own ideas of what a liberal is. And to top that off, you have people like me who feel 'in the middle', in other words, somewhat liberal, and somewhat conservative.

The only time a Liberal fits THAT definition is when he/she is giving something away that belongs to someone else. Liberals are just as greedy about their OWN belongings as Republicans are. It is easy to be liberal to give a bike away when you just stole it from the neighbor's house.
