You will have a period until you go through menopause which is usually around the age 45 to 50 unless you have a lot of abnormal bleeding that can't be regulated with birth contrl pills you will have to have a D&C or a hsyterectomy..A normal period lasts for 3 days and comes every 28 days

If you are under stress or exercising a great deal every day, your periods can stop for months. Girls in gymnastics have this problem a lot. If this is not the case and if this is not normal for you, you need to see a doctor. Your hormones could be off. I have friends that have gone thru this all their lives and it made it hard to get pregnant when they were married. Get it checked out. It isn't a cancer symptom, if you are worried about that being the problem. Usually, women have cycles until their late 40's or into their 50's. Some women do not stop until their 60's but that isn't as common. Having your periods is a very good thing. It cleans out toxins in your body and the active hormones keeps your skin young looking. It isn't a bad thing at all.

Once menopause hits around your mid-late 50s (earlier for some ladies) then your period stops.
Until then, short of a serious illness, your period keeps going every month, but there are birth control pills that can limit it to much less than that, so that's a good thing, right? ;)

Your period will stop around the age of 45-50. No more periods! Then once you hit menopause you will have to worry about hot flashes. It isn't as great as you will think.
