I can't get rid of this virus that i just got. i got it from someones away message on instant messanger. ever since i got it i cant download anything. and it wont let me open my virus killer. basically it wont let me do anything to get rid of it. if someone can help me out i would really appreciate it...reminder i CANT download anything so please dont suggest that. and i am not very smart when it comes to computers so if you have a suggestion please give me decent instructions on how to do it. it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Shut down your pc. Restart your pc in safe mode. When your pc is just about to boot hit F8 it will ask you to pick a mode. goto safe mode no networking. it will take a few minutes once it's completely booted up run your virus scan and get rid of the garbage virus you got.

the few things i can tell you is sometimes a virus can be deep seeded and that you may need to try going into safe mode and try removing it there the only other option i have for you is to wipe the drive that is infected or start over completely. good luck

You will probably have to take it to a good shop where they can find out about it and get rid of it for you. There are probably programs which can do it but you will have to know the name and type. To do this on your own would cost a fortune.

try to go to safe mode (hold f8 button while computer starts)
then run your antivirus software. Also go to control panel to add/remove programs and if you see anu suspisious programs uninstall them if this dont help save all ur data on cd like pictures and documents and the reinstall windows.

all you have to do is clean tha desk top and take everything out you dont need and it well be gone!!!!!!!!!if not go to scan your computer for viruses and from there it will do it or it willl give you info on how to do it yourself sorry i cant help anymore than i am right now sorry again

save all your pic and stuff on a cd then Dump your computer
