Any man who says anything like this to a woman is almost certainly not getting laid.

Is what possible? A guarantee that someone's heart will not be broken? No. This is a pretty intense thing for a guy to tell a woman when they first meet. Be careful...he may be more fragile than you think or may be setting you up for a guilt trip later on. There's a train you don't wanna take. Proceed with extreme caution.

It is very much possible... but it takes a lot of courage for a man to say that, and very open-minded, honest, understanding, loving and caring woman to know what he means by that... She might answer back saying: "I promise to keep it safe and never break it." It'll be a different and unique way to meet someone and when it is said to someone they love... It is more certain than not that the person of the other one's affections is going to be with them for the rest of their lives... Depending on the circumstances, the one who says that can actually capture the other person's heart and show them the different path that a relationship can take. I believe that path will be a lot more peaceful, more cherished and more nurtured as the result of this "simple, little" (as it seems) statement.
From a man's point of view, to be saying something like that to a woman, usually implies that he loves her more than life itself, he loved her even before he met her in person, she's his dream come true, and she was and always will be the only one for him no matter what... and more often than not, it might also mean that he'll die for her... It'll show her how much he cares for her, that way making her see the relationship from a different perspective as well as weigh everything (where everything is going and where she stands in his life and lifestyle), and at times (depending on the woman) make her care for him even more than ever before.
My Husband told me: "You have my heart," and it litereally took my breath away. I've never expected anyone to say that to me. I replied back to him: "I promise, I'll keep it safe and I'll never break it. That's a promise and guarantee." That was my word to him and still is. I'll never break it and I'll always be with him no matter what :)

If a guys says that when they first meet, odds are she's gonna think he's a desperate loser and he isn't even going to get a date.
Quite frankly anyone who gives his heart to a total stranger IS a desperate loser.....
