Quick answer... no. Late or missed periods does not always signify being pregnant. There are a lot of good websites out there that give good information on this. Just do a quick search and you'll get more details on this.

Everyone's body is different and even something a simple as changing your exercise routine or starting one can have an affect on your period.

If it does, then I should have had at least 25 or 30 kids by now...

No dear, it doesn't always mean you're pregnant. It could mean you're stressed about something, you're coming down with a cold/flu, mother nature is playing tricks on you...there are many more things than pregnancy that cause late/missed periods.

Hell, no. If your period is late, that does not mean that you are pregnant. Your body is not perfect and it doesn't always follow your cycle perfectly. One time, my girlfriend didn't get her period for a week, and we were worried, but it came. Just wait a while. If you haven't had any sex, especially unprotected sex, recently, then don't worry. If you have, just wait. If it doesn't come within two weeks, take a test. Just remember that stress, hormones, and other parts of the environment can affect your period schedule.

no.
But ive found the more you worry about it, the more the period stays away. So you end up taking a pregnancy test anyway cos u think 'i cant possibly be 2 weeks late for no reason' and the test comes out negative. Ususally your period arrives the next day after spending the money on the test. Its one of lifes cruel jokes.

What follows is a table indicating some of the most common reasons why women have abnormalities in their periods. If a pregnancy test is negative, but menstrual problems persist, it could be a sign of a more serious condition requiring immediate medical attention. You should see your obstetrician if pregnant and gynecologist if not.

Click on the link to see the table.

Nope. Lots of things can do that. Especially if you aren't 'regular' anyway. Or if you live with a bunch of women, or just took a job with a bunch. You all end up rotating around until you get 'synched up' but I don't know the reason for that. I heard it was lunar, but I can't say if that is true.

Stress, diet, general health all factor in as well.

OR, maybe you are pregnant. Try an EPT if unsure.

the only thing that means ur pregnant is a positive pregnancy test .. A late period (or sometimes skipped period) can be because of a change in exercise or eating habits, stress, and sometimes even because of a new sexual partner

No it doesn't alwayz mean that. I didn't have my period last mo & was scared that it wouldn't come. It came a few days earlier than usual this mo. So that's good :)

Sometimes you don't get your period due to stress. Being late may also be caused by other things too.

Hahaha... it also happens when you're stressed, when I went for exchange to Canada, I didn't have a period for 4 months (the whole first term), and I swear I didn't do anything to get pregnant..... no exaggeration: I presented my last test, left the classroom and my period came.

It was weird... I was happy for not worrying about the cramps, mood swings and stains, but worried about not having them either hahha

No. And to the earlier answer, not everyone is late at sometime or another. Mine has never been late except when I was pregnant. It could mean you are stressed, your cycle is changing, a problem or disease, underweight, more exercise than usual....etc...
