Just think about it this way:
When I was in college I loved getting into the huge lecture clasess, the one's with like 500 people in them. The reason why is because I would look around at all the half-awake, still drunk, slackers and think, "This class is graded on a curve! Score."
Don't worry so much about what everyone else is doing. You know that eventually it will catch up with them, and you'll reap the benefits of your hard work.
Life grants nothing to us mortals without hard work.
Horace (65 BC - 8 BC)
Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.
Thomas A. Edison (1847 - 1931)

Liberal socio-economic policies like welfare and other re-distribution of the wealth ( from people who do work hard and pay taxes) programs out there.
These programs cause people to believe that it's the government's job to provide money and material goods to them.
It is not.
This harbors the "Why should I work?" syndrome. You can see it more and more everyday when the company you work for hires really young people. They don't want to be there. They don't hide it.
This is NOT what our country's fore fathers had in mind for America.

What y'all are lacking is some good old communist education.
No, I'm serious: I think it's a problem of education, and too many people feeling entitled to a life of ease, with no obligation to society. Maybe China and the ex-Soviet bloc went to extremes, but there was something there.

It's a cooincedence. You usually notice the things that aren't fair in life or you don't agree with. You usually don't notice the joys in life, or the things you take for granted, like being able to go wherever you want, whenever you want, which you wouldn't be able to do in a communist country. It's all about perspective. Nothing but God is an absolute. God is all powerful and forever. Nothing compares to him, and everything excluding him aren't absolutes.

If you've found something that you like working hard at then you are the lucky one; took me way over 20 years, doesn't matter too much what you get or what others are doing if you're happy w. your work.

A sense of entitlement, because of poor role models. When celebrities set the standards, it's a sad state of affairs.

Because people are lazy. People want to make money but they don't want to have to work for it. So they search for the easy way out.

I can really appreciate an honest hard worker. My girls 16, & 17, both work. I think it is good for them.
