Nope. I read Huck before Tom. You're not missing a thing.

Not at all. In fact, the ending of Huckleberry Finn is ruined when Tom Sawyer shows up.

According to Mark Twain, the first line of Chapter 1 of Huck Finn reads: 'You don't know about me, without you have read a book by the name of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," but that ain't no matter.' Apparently Clemens didn't think it was important to be so sivilized as to have read Tom Sawyer.

not really. Huckleberry Finn is seldom mentioned in Tom Sawyer although Tom Sawyer is mentioned a lot in Huckleberry Finn.
Both books are like episodes- they are apart from each other.
