No repercussions for you unless you are driving without a valid driver's license.
The people repossesing the vehicle are hired by the bank or financial institution are not law enforcement, just individual contractors.
All you are doing is "buying time" as the bank knows where your brother works, parents, etc. when he filled out the loan application. He and his vehicle will be found unless he plans on never using his vehicle at the addresses listed on the application.

In most states, they cant take it if you contest it, at the time they are there trying to take it. If you do contest it, they will most likely block it in and call the sheriff. I went through this with an insurance company after an accident. they had made the only offer they were going to, and tried to take from my barn with a re-possessor. Their problem was that I had a mechanics lien against it, for the storage costs that they agreed to in court, and hadn't paid for. I WON....

if it is up for Reposession then the bank or creditor has the info on his credit report and if he put you down for a reference then they will check your address also to see if the car is there. it is better to make contact with them and surrender the auto are make the payment they will find the car and it and the costs goes on what he owes

You can be charged with a crime. It belongs to the company who ordered the repossessing of it.
