This shouldn't be hard: if y=6x and x=1.5 what is y?

when x=1.5

y= 6 (1.5) meaning that you substitute the x with the 1.5 and then you multiply 6 by 1.5

then you get a 9

y=9

hence you answer is y=9

Y = 6 times X

the value of X is 1.5

so... Y = 6 x 1.5

example...

IF THE VALUE OF X was 2, then your answer would be 12

6 times 1.5

because y=6x and x=1.5

so just multiply 6 by 1.5 and you'll get the answer....

By Multiplying 6 times 1.5

If you know one of the coefficients and it is on the same side as the number you always Multiply it.....

if you had known Y instead of X you would have divided y by known number in this case that would be 6

A coefficient is the y or the x just in case you were wondering.......
