I currently work at a family fun center where they are allowed to sale alcohol, I am only 17 therefore I am not allowed to sale it. some of my co-workers get annoyed everytime i have to get them from the back to come up and sale it for me. one in particular brought someone up to help us in the kitchen who was only 16 and showed her how to sale it. The next day i told the manager and she was fired seens how it was her second time doing this. What would you have done?

You know what, you are unsure of yourself because in our society we consider a person who "tells" as a rat, fink, snitch, etc. We have all of these images of the guy in prison that gets shanked because he talked. Well forget all that crap. It was an informant that lead to Hitler's hideout. Cigarette companies didn't voluntarily say "Hey, these f---ing things will kill you" All those negative connotations have been invented by people who where doing something wrong and don't want it to be found out. I ask you, if some priest was molesting your kid and somebody told you, would you say "You fink, how could you rat out a priest!" or would you say thank you, as you reach for a 357 in order to make that priest truly wholly? You didn't do a damn thing wrong so don't feel bad. They should feel bad for having put you in that sitiation.

I would have talked to the 16 year old and pointed out to her that what she did is illegal. If the police found this out the store owner would be in a lot of trouble and lose his license.

You save the owner all this but perhaps should have given the 16 year old a chance. They may have been misled and thought it okay.

At any rate you should not have turned a blind eye because if the store had to close so goes your job.

You very much did the right thing. Your employer coulld lose thier liscense and /or be fined if an undercover officer was allowed to purchase alcohol from the 16 year old. Sleep well at knowing you did the right thing for all involved!

i wouldn't have told on her. the truth is they shouldn't be hiring people who aren't going to be able to perform all the job duties. i'd be pissed if i had to stop what i'm doing ever 5 seconds to ring up a sale. instead i'd be bitching that they need to get rid of these two (not to be mean or anything) and hire people who are old enough to sell liquor. sorry, don't mean to sound rude to you, but i have to side with the co-workers on this one.

well i would have toiled the girl that she sold not be selling alcohol under age. then i would have told her what if the cops came in and tried to by some then ask you how old you was and out of the blue you say 16 years old they would take you. then i would have done the same thing you had. :)

I wouldn't have said anything. Now everybody there is going to be suspicious of you. They won't trust you because they'll be afraid that you tell on them. I can see their point of being annoyed at having to do it for you when you are capable but if the law found out they'd close the place down. So, be careful of what you do, too. They may tell on you before you tell on them.

I'd of done what you did I mean it's comenly known that she can't sell it If a cop would have been posing as a costumer trying to be it from her and she sold it, the store would have been in trouble and maybe even you would have gotten fired.

It seems as if u did it for the reason that was right and moreso just. It just happened to turn out another way. U never know, the gurl who was fired may just find another job... and it may ne better, and it will be all thanx to u.

You did the right thing. Your co-workers are risking a $5000 fine and the loss of the liquor license if they get caught.

The people that waned you to sale it probably put pressure on her to sale ,so to save the put down feelings she did it. Maybe she should have been as strong as you.
