Yes. England's best World Cups usually go bad start, good finish like a previous reply said. They haven't been playing all that well, but have still managed to win games. That's the sign of a great team, win when you play badly.

Even without Owen in the team, there are players who can score goals. He is easier to replace than Rooney. I think it might be a blessing in disguise. We now have to play to our strength - the goal threat from midfield. If Sven deploys a good defensive midfielder to protect the back four, then it liberates our quality attacking players to go forward and wreak havoc.

The knock out games are also different. It is now do-or-die. Teams can't sit back and play for 0-0. They have to attack if they want to win. That will suit England, because it means more space opening up for our players to make forward runs into. I can also see Gerrard and Beckham opening up games with their long range passing.

We need to sort out our defending at set pieces, but I think it can be done. It is probably easier to fathom than if we were conceding goals from open play. Sweden's two goals could have been avoided with fairly simple clearances. It's all about concentration.

However, if we are going to win, we need to wake up in the 2nd half of games. We need to keep going at teams and not sitting back inviting them on to us. I don't mean going gung-ho. That didn't do Keegan's teams any favours. I mean being progressive yet disciplined. Not something which is beyond intelligent footballers who play regularly in the Champion's League.

Yes, the World Cup is still within England's grasp.

Sorry, I don't care...... I hate the game!...... Bring back the ' men's game ' (Rugby - 6 Nations)...

I hope we do win, but from what Football watching friends have said, we're playing Crap and have a list of injuries inflicting our team!!!

Good luck to them, but it's not the end of the World if we lose!
