Why do you bother with what? Bother to: live, get up, go for a walk, type on the computer, write a letter, go to work, clean... You can bother to do a lot of stuff. The simple answer is: because.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

because if you didn't, then no one else would either. Everyone has something special to give to the world. Even if you just say hi to someone on the street. It might seem like nothing to you, but maybe that person was feeling lonely and invisible and you changed that by one little word. Don't under estimate yourself.
