check http://www.salary.com for your location and the type of work you do. it will give you a range which is more applicable to where you live/work, as opposed to getting opinions from people all over. some places will have you earning higher pay, but cost of living is higher as well - like the san francisco area, for example. and some places will have a lower cost of living, and a slightly lower salary bracket/minimum wage.
