Why do you answer the questions?

What does it do for you? I am think there are intelligent people out there who wish to share their ideas, but what about the rest?

for me... it interesting to see what people think about things, it helps me to develop my own philosophies by hearing others. They can educate me as well as exploit my wrongs which I can then learn from. Unfortuantely, every time I ask a serious question, all I get is smart *** answers, ridiculously stupid statements, or people who put absolutley no thought into things at all. So... what?

I'm searching for wisdom.Part of the search is learning how other people think,feel and believe.I mostly just read the questions and answers on here.I'll only answer a question once in a while,like this one.

I agree, there are some intelligent people here. A really intelligent person will one day figure out how to write a book about these questions and answers.
Seriously, I have had some answers to questions posted that have saved me money. ie; was thinking about buying one of those temperpedic mattresses. A thoughtful poster suggested that if I live in the South, it's not a good choice because they don't breathe & make you sweat alot! Ugh! Glad I posted that question.
And, alot of these questions are admittedly fake. The serious ones (or the ones I think are serious)that I choose to answer, I answer seriously.
Otherwise, I just do this for fun. And sometimes post smart aleck answers, to stupid questions. Kinda fun to rack up the points. :-)

I'd like to think I'm an intelligent person who wants to share my knowledge. But the main reason I answer the questions is because I have nothing better to do. I work part time in a government office and have a lot of down time. And sometimes I'm at home and I'm bored and have some time to kill.

Not to mention the points! I want to see how high of a level I can get up to.

My answer is in your question; because I'm an intelligent person out here who wishes to share my ideas. I do admit to getting an ego boost when one of my answers is voted as best, and I do get some emotional fulfillment when one of the "best answers" seems to actually do someone some good. It's just fun, and it makes me think when I'd otherwise be doing something totally mindless.

Well it's the dam points I only need a couple more till lvl 3 and well every lil bit helps so if you can chose me as a best answer then I've completed what I came in here this day to do. Thanks for your attention oh and the two points.lol

One reason is to help peeps in situations that we've both been in. Ex. : when someone says something bout breaking up & I come across a Q that has something to do w/ breaking up (I broke up w/ my bf last Wed, over a wk ago). I feel that I have more knowledge in that area now, esp since we've been together for approx 1.5 yrs.

I like to read all the questions from people that do not know how to spell correctly or put a sentence together....Like this one for instance....( I am think?) What does that mean? re-read your question....there is a check spelling on here for everyone...why doesnt anyone use it.??? Now you got my answer ...why I answer these questions.....

Sometimes I like to feel like I'm helping someone, sometimes I like to feel knowledgeable, but most of the time it's all about the points.

Bored, entertaining my self. Trying to stop Atheists . They are distroying my busness. I sell bible and other bs things to Cristians.
And once in a while i see interesting questions.
Therefore GOD exists. Every1 needs new bible.
