Clomid is in a class of medications called ovulatory stimulants. It works similarly to estrogen, a female hormone that causes eggs to develop in the ovaries and be released.
It did work for me. I ovulated everytime I took it. I didn't get pregnant, but my problems were bigger than anovulation. I took it for 3 months under my OB/GYN, took a break, and several months later, started Clomid for another 2 months under my reproductive endocrinologist. Although my RE said that if it doesn't get you pregnant in 3-4 cycles, it probably never will.

From what I read, Clomid will be successful (for pregnancy) for 40-60% of women over 6 months.

Be careful with Clomid !! My sister took them and as a result , she got 2 breast lumps !!! Doctor told her that that was their side effects !! So be careful, i know that everyone is different, but check the side effects first !! Better safe than sorry !!
