why do so many employers get away unfair and illegal treatment of employees?

Because not enough employees complain for fear of loosing their jobs.

Usually because the employee is too afraid to speak up. Another problem is that a lot of employees don't know their rights. And employers have rights as well, like the right to fire someone. In some states they don't even have to have a reasonable cause for the firing.

Employees don't want the hassle of reporting Employers to the officials. Their afraid that if the boss is reported then they will lose their job.

The thing is if you are fired because you did report an employer that could be a lawsuit in the employees favor.

I personally think that employees take as much or more advantage of their employers, leaving early, slacking off, taking long lunch breaks, stealing, it is not easy being an employer it is extremely difficult to find good employees, but when you do you have to do everything you can to keep them happy.

you work at the convenience of the employer, they can terminate you for any reason or no reason at all. If you don't like your job, QUIT get a different JOB!
