YOu have NEVER been to a doctor? Even as a child to get immunity shots or anything?
it's not a horrible experience. Take a friend if you are really scared. After you fill out some paperwork about your health history and insurance information, a nurse takes you back into a room and usually gets all your vitals: height, weight, temperature, blood pressure.
if you have never ad a basic physical, you will most likey have to disrobe and put on a gown. They will look inside your ears and nose and in your throat. They will shine a light in your eyes to make sure they dilate properly.. they will check your reflexes, ask you to read an eye chart to check your vision. They may ask you to stand up and bend over to make sure you have decent flexibility. They will listen to your heart and to your lungs while you take deep breaths... and they may draw blood to run a screen for basic blood levels. They may ask you why you are there - if you have any concerns and can talk you through those things.
PLEASE go - you should have been to the gyne ages ago, and you should be checked yearly. If your question is about the gyne, call one and ask, most will understand it is not necessarily a pleasant experience, but they will talk you through everything and make you feel as comfortable as possible.

First, you sit on a chair and the dr (the first time you go) asks you your name, age, and some identification data.
Then he/she asks what brings you there and what are your complaints. This is your turn to explain what happens, since when and why, what have you done to feel better, etc. If there is something the dr considers important to know he/she will ask you.
Depending on what your problem is, the doctor will:
Check your eyes and tongue, for pallor and hydration,
Look at your neck and throat,
Will listen to your heart, and lungs
Touch your abdomen for masses or pain,
or test your reflections with a hammer (it is little and doesn't hurt unless he/she doesn't handle it well)
May tell you the diagnosis right away or may tell you that lab exams are needed.
Will send you a recipe for your symptoms.

Well when you go an get a Doctor's Check-up usually they just check your weight and height and see if your having your period on time. That's pretty much it unless you have a disease or some kind of illness.
