I tryed using the sign in registration help and nothing seems to be working. I'm in foster care and move a lot so I don't know which answer I put in for my keyword. I need serious help b/c I want to use my adress book from my old account. How can I talk to a yahoo person directly to find out my old password and if it's even still open?

It closes if it's not opened in 60 or 90 days (I forget exactly how long, but definately less than a year). So everything that was there is lost anyway. Sorry...

If an account hasn't been logged into for six months, it will become "dormant." When an account becomes dormant, it will be deactivated, and the data stored in it will be deleted. After an account is deactivated, you will no longer have access to it, and Yahoo! can't retrieve any of the data that was formerly stored in it.

They can't recover any of the data, so do you need the password?

You account will be "deactivated", HOWEVER, if you can get hold of your password, you can get all your address book info. There should be a spot that asks you to stick in your username, and that's all that's needed, i believe, i haven't done it in a while. Also, it'll ask you some security questions, if you don't know your keyword. I could be wrong on this, someone please correct me if i am.

I haven't logged into one of my accounts in over 3 years, but i just logged in and all my contacts are still there.
