besides final wars and the remake in imax theaters?

After the Matthew Broderick version bombed I would say it's going to be awhile, at least for U.S. versions.

Toho Studios has said many times over the years they are done making Godzilla movies. "Final Wars" was the last, but, as good as it was, I still love the big goofy lizard.
My favorite Godzilla movie has GOT to be "Godzilla vs King Ghidorah" the one where they go back in time to remove the dinosaur from the island before the nuclear tests, so Godzilla is never born. This also shows the origin of King Ghidorah. Goofy in spots as they all are,, but this one, to me, has far and away the most imaginative storyline.

Sorry not for a while Final Wars was supposed to be his last movie but so was Godzilla vs Destroyer in 1995 but they started making movies again in 1999 right now the answer from toho is but in a couple of years who knows

Not that I know of. But have you noticed all the dorito's commercials that the giant lizard has been doing lately? I think that's a sure sign that Godzilla is strapped for cash and had to do commercials. so a new movie doesn't appear to be in his future.
