Will the minorites come out and be heard in the next election?

I certainly hope that Blacks come out to vote in record numbers against the rethuglican party especially since they didnt sign the Voting Rights Act. I certainly hope that the Mexican immigrants remember just who was disenfranchised here in Texas when the state was redistricted watering down their vote. I certainly hope that they also remember who wants the wall up on the border. I certainly hope that they both remember that No Child Left Behind was never funded and that Bush paid an Uncle Tom Water Carrying Black man to sell NCLB to blacks as a reason they should support him in the 2004 election. I certainly hope that Blacks remember Katrina and the fact that those people are still without homes, jobs and there are still missing people. I certainly hope that Blacks remember that Louisiana has had Homeland Security funding cut. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember that the Armed Forces regularly recruit their children talking them into believing that the only choice they have is to go into the military and wind up among the dead and injured for life by fighting his bloody senseless war in Iraq. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember that since they are at the bottom of the pay scale that it was the rethuglicans that refuse to raise the mimimum wage but are more than eager to give tax cuts to people as useless as Paris Hilton and Barbara and Jenna Bush. I certainly hope that they remember that while a lot of Blacks and Mexicans may be Christians and homophobic that discriminating against homosexuals and voting against same sex marriage doesnt further the agenda of Blacks or Mexicans but the agenda of the neo-con religious right who couldnt care less about them. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember that the religious right of the rethuglican party came into your churches to con you out of your vote. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember that the bulk of the working poor that have no healthcare are Black and Mexican and that those who have the power to change this refuse to while enjoying the best of healthcare at their expense. I certainly hope that both Blacks and Mexicans remember that voting against abortion will not stop abortion and that you have already been tricked out of your vote for this in the past while abortion is still legal. The rethugs could not care less if Blacks or Mexicans get abortions, they dont want to become the minority here. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember that the death penalty is still used to kill larger numbers of Blacks and Mexicans even when whites have committed the same crimes. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember that they have more in common and that the efforts of the rethugs to divide and conquer can't work if we stick together. I certainly hope that Blacks and Mexicans remember Martin Luther King Jr, Adam Clayton Powell, Medgar Evers, Robert F. Kennedy, Caesar Chavez, Rosa Parks and Emmett Till when the 2006 and 2008 elections come and why those people were all Democrats. Until we get what those people fought for peacefully and died for...we have yet to be heard.

You can't lump minorities into one group anymore. If you are thinking what I think you are thinking, lets talk about Blacks first.

The answer is no. These people (and yes I generalize but statistics back me up) have voted in huge proportion (90% or more) for the Democratic candidate in all National elections.

They have created a huge mess for themselves, the Libs (Democrats for those of you in Rio Linda) take them for granted. The Republicans are not going to waste much time on them since they get so little out of it.

So how much more can they be 'heard'? If they were smart, they would vote on average 50/50, they would then have power by being able to sway these percentages. The way things stand right now, they have to keep voting for their meal ticket, they are slaves to the Democratic party, and most don't even see it.

You never know what is going to happen in the November.The situation right now already shown everyone about the price of war ( trillion dollar) and the interest rate is going up as well of the price of oil.The economy is not that good and the jobs situation is shaking.Well I am not concern what kind of minorities Because,I want everyone to come out and BE the Real American who loves his and her country and we all can make our differences in this world.

Will it matter as they are minorities? It matters not what race or religion but acceptance of the majority will rule. Certainly there have been qualified people of various minorities that won the confidence of the majority but all have approached issues with sound logic and not extremisms. Should there be issues that affect only minorities requiring them to be heard above issues that affect the larger groups? It is not for the good of one, it is for the good of all.

You mean white people? Or are people of color still calling themselves minorities? Where are you that they are not being heard? We hear nothing but "minorities" and I am surrounded by so-called minorities. Maybe California is different? We might have 2 white people per block in my area, and most of them are old. No one can make a move without minorities causing a ruckous. Seriously where are you that you think this is an issue?
