We just got a raise at work, and I want to know if I got a 4 or 5% increase, but first I need to figure out how much I make a year. Help!

week salary X 52 = total salary

total X 1.05 = new salary

You can fuigure your percentage by using your hourly wage.
take your old hourly wage and divide it by your new hourly wage.
To find your yearly income multiply your hourly rate by 2080.
2080 is the number of hours you will work in a year if you work a 40 hour workweek.

Add all your annual earnings and then divide by 12 = you get the Gross Income

Take out all taxes you pay from you total earnings and divide by 12 = Net Income

for percent hike,


Percent Hike= ((New Income -Old Income)/Old Income) * 100

If you work 40 hr per week, try this. If you make $10 per hour multiply it time 2080. There are 2080 work hours in a normal work year. 10 X 2080 hours =$20,800.

most peolpe work about 2000 hrs/yr so take your hr. wage and multiply it by 2000 it will give you an estimate and there are only 52 weeks in a yr not 53

Do you know your hourly wage? If you work FULLTIME, multiply it by 2,000 to get an estimate of your GROSS yearly wage (double it and add 3 zeroes to get the same number).
