I prefer Windows personally, but thats just because I'm used to it. I only really answered this one cuz I wanted to tell you that I like your avatar's hair, lol. I know thats wierd, but oh well, I'm not exactly normal either.

Mac is nice in its own way (and now even better with Apple's BootCamp software to run Windows on a Mac computer)
But all and all, Windows is better. Sure there are a lot of viruses, adware, trojans, and much more bad things against Windows, but plain and simple - there are just more software and hardware support for a Windows PC... plus they're generally faster if you know how to keep a Windows environment clean and efficient.
So.. go Windows!

This really comes down to "What am I going to do with my computer?" Personally, I do a lot of PC Gaming, So PC's are the way to go for me. You won't find a lot of games running on a Mac OS, and even with bootcamp, the high-end graphics cards aren't Mac Compatible(in fact no hardware not made by Apple is Mac compatible).
Of course, my uncle does a ton of Video editing for his work. He uses a Mac because when it comes to Video/Image/Sound editing work, Macs can't be beat. They are easier to use for that.
By the way, It's not a question of Windows vs. Mac anymore, since you can run Windows on your Mac. It's a question of PC vs. Mac, just so everyone's clear.

Yeah, gotta go with the Mac. I actually use both Mac and PC at work, and even thought the Mac older than Bob Dole, it still works a heck of a lot better than the PC: rarely freezes up, rarely have to reboot, etc. I'm sure PC people have a lot of anti-Mac stories to counteract mine, but since you asked...
