Mabey it brings you down but not me. I wouldnt mind being rich but I would never want to be a celebrity. Im happy with the way I am. I like and respect myself for being me also. If youre a celebrity you do have some good advantages, but there are MANY disadvantages also. You cant have a normal life. You cant go out in public without having to deal with the paparazzi following you everywhere taking photos. You have to deal a whole lot with stalkers and trying to keep a good image. It amazes me how someone would be brought down because of them.

This doesn't really bring me down, but I think it is a shame in a country who idolizes these people who make millions of dollars and can afford sun glasses for $700.00 etc. and the entertainment industry chooses to give them 'gift bags' worth $30,000 or more. What is wrong with this picture? Couldn't that money be better spent by helping low income single moms or senior citizens? How about these celebs getting together and building a small community for low income people?

I don't ever feel brought down because someone else is rich and getting something for free. You get what you work for. There's plenty of abundance for us all in the world. Decide what you want in life and go out and get it. Don't fool yourself. There's a price for everything. Just because someone isn't paying money for something doesn't mean that they haven't paid some other price--like loss of privacy.

Rich and famous will always get things for free, get all the attention, and get rewards that they don't deserve. Just like Generals in the military get medals they never earned. It is the way of the world, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

I have never been brought down because celebrities were rich or because they got everything (or at least many things) free. Why should that bother me?

No kidding.. they are overpaid.. just like sports figures... they get stuff free all the time... they waste a sh**load of money on foolish things.... and some won't give a damn thing to charity. Worse yet, most of them just seem like spoiled little children when things don't go their way.... In my life time I won't make 10% of what some 'movie stars' make for a single movie... and I work my A*S*S* off. Something wrong in the world today with that kind of money being paid to people just to 'act.' I don't go to movies.. I don't buy music.. I don't go to sports events.. I don't attend concerts.... I refuse to support them

no i don't really care what celebrities are doing. yes they are over paid considering entertainers have long been at the bottom of the food chain but whose fault is that ? i don't buy People magazine, I don't watch their stupid movies, and I don't care about their stupid award shows ~ or their liberal opinions. It's not going to help you by being envious. Never mind what they are doing. Figure out what YOU need to be doing and GET TO IT ! make your own money and fame - isn't that what you're getting at anyways ?

Definately agree. Which is why I refuse to buy something or even a look alike if I know the 'celebs' say it's in fashion. I purposely go with my own taste since I'm paying for it. Good luck to hollywood peer pressure.
