I think the you should be fine, even considering your weight to height ratio, but for those who conform to society's way of thinking, then you have a couple of pounds to shed. I am thick and don't care. I love my cures, I embrace them. I think what's important is how well you carry yourself. I carry myself in a certain way that demands respect when I step on the scene. It doesn't matter how much you weigh, as long as you keep it all together. I say until you decide to lose it, dress it up and love it!

Well I am 5'5 too and for our height the ideal weight is 135.One thing that I found to be helpful was cardio exercise on an eliptical machine. This is easier for me than running, but still very effective. And swimming. Watch the carbs you eat, up the protein and look on the back at the amount of sugar and dietary fiber...if it is high in sugar it is low in fiber and also look at the saturated and trans fat you want as little of that kind of fat as possible. Just because something says its fat free doesnt mean it is healthy you still need fat in your diet. The zone diet is something a professor for my health class told me about he said its something we should be using as a standard for meals. 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat. Also add fiber and other vitamins and you will lose weight. It is reallllly hard to eat that much protein and we almost always go over the amount of carbs. But the way they work together in those percentages in each meal provides healthy digestion and overall well being. Oh and portions. Use bowls instead of plates of food...its been helping me. MAN THIS IS LONG SORRY!

The only "diet" that ever worked for me was counting fat grams. Women trying to lose weight should not eat more than 20 grams of fat per day. You can eat whatever as long as you don't exceed 20 fat grams. I did this during the week. On the weekends I allowed myself to eat one meal on Saturday & Sunday (within reason) of whatever I wanted. This gave me something to look forward to and made it easier to stick with it during the week! I didn't eat any red meat or fried foods during the week. I lost 26 pounds in about 6 weeks.

Are you happy? Who cares what other people think! You're not that over weight anyways. But if you must, then the best solution (and no one ever wants to hear this) is exercise and healthy eating.
