I would pop on over to my broker and buy gold, of course. Whenever I felt like it later on, I would redeem the gold for cash and spend it how I like.
I'm making a point here. When you have money, you can choose to do three things with it. Buy a means of production. Invest it. Or fritter it away on useless doodads.
The wealthy buy means of production and wise investments. Everyone else fritters it away.
Give me that ten grand and I'll turn it into a financial empire. And I'll find away to get around any silly obstacles you put in my way.

If I had to spend it, I'd buy all the DVDs and the iPod on my wish list at Amazon.com. Hopefully I'd have enough time to add them all in my cart. Thankfully I have a fast connection. LOL. I'd rather save it, though.
Oh, can we buy a gift card? Does that count? Because if so, I'd just buy a $10,000 Best Buy card or something for later.

I guess that would all depend on how fast the internet connection was on the computer I'm sitting on front of. I'd buy some savings bonds from my bank to save it.
