Talk to him.Honestly but nicely.Just say that you didnt know how to approach him, but this is a problem.Tell him you want him to try a new mouthwash/antiseptics.Let him know alot of people suffer from this and dont even know.Just be honest and remember to do it with respect.Dont lash out or make jokes.

Had the same situation with a close friend. Just come out at tell them when the two of you are alone. Offer suggestions to help. He probably has no idea and will be totally imbarrassed when you finally do tell him but it's better to come from you than a stranger or someone else. He will thank you for it. After you address the issue ...if the problem happens again just slip him a note or a quick whisper "grab some gum". You will be helping him out so much. Good luck.

Maybe buy him a new brand of toothpaste with a super dooper brush, and make sure you buy the same for yourself. Talk about how great the stuff is supposed to be, and maybe do a trial. If his breath still stinks, he may have a real problem, but that gets into medicine, and I'm, outa here.

I understand your concern. Sometimes we have to be aggressive in situations like this. Maybe offer him a mint or gum. Also you could buy some listerine and sit it out on the bathroom sink,, ya know, like hint, hint.. I don't think his feelings will be hurt as much as his pride. He will get over it, who knows he may thank you someday for telling him.. Good Luck ;-)

I think you should be honest... just say it nicely and wait for a good moment to do it- "you should probably brush before you go out... I think your breath might be a bit smelly"
OR if you are too frightened of feelings...
give him a piece of dark chocolate... it is supposed to neutralize bad breath odor!!!

Buy new tooth paste,floss,mouth wash,a tooth brush,and listerine pocket thingys,put it in a basket and give it to him. If he still doesnt get a clue, just tell him straight out.

buy mouth wash,tooth paste and keep gum around the house.When ever you think his breath stinks offer him a piece of gum.Make sure you already have gum in your mouth before offering him a piece so that he won't think your being harsh.
