How do you remove the battery from a 2002 BMW 525ia?

I've removed the bolts from the terminal posts and can't see what else is holding it down.

there should be a hold down on the tray that it sets on . look at the tray in front of battery or mabey at back of batttery should be jost one bolt

There is a hold-down at the bottom of the battery, on the long side of the battery. Loosen the hold-down bolt and lift the battery out
