~I could give you several medical reasons for your symptoms, but since you are on asking YaHoo Answers rather than talking to a doctor, you don't want a medical answer. Since you don't seem to want to deal with it, live with it.

I had my tubes tied a little over a year ago. For the first several months I had these lower abdominal pains and heavier periods you are talking about. The pains eventually subsided but the periods are still heavier than normal. I was told these symptoms might occur and could possibly never go away. But the pain did so I am not worried. I don't know how long it has been since you had yours done but I would consult my obgyn if I were you just to be safe.

I believe in getting second opinions, maybe your concerns can be addressed by doing just that. However, the pain and heavier periods can be associated with tubal ligation. Your vaginal prolapse and ovarian cyst are two separate issues as well. Please consult a gynecologist about all of these issues. Ask about vaginal suspension procedures and the benefit of partial versus total hysterectomy. You may also ask about cystectomy (removal of the cyst) with the possibility of preserving the ovary on which it is attached. Anyhow, just keep asking questions until you are satisfied with the plan...I wouldn't have surgery if I had any doubts at all. Good Luck and see a doctor soon.

I also had my tubes tied, years ago. I never had a cramp or heavy bleeding before. After the procedure I cramped and had bad bleeding. It had to be from the tubal. I have since had a partial hysterectomy. No more cramps, or heavy bleeding, best thing to happen to me. Good luck

check with your doctor, but after my mom had her tubes tied for a second time, her uterus started to literally die. She did end up having a partial hysterectomy and luckily hasn't had to suffer from menopause yet because it didn't kill off her ovaries. Good Luck!

See a Dr. That happened to me and had fibroids so bad that I had to have a hysterectomy. That might not be your case, but see a Dr. and if you don't like the answer you get then get a second opinion.

I think something went wrong. You shouldn't have that many problems after having your tubes tied. I would definitely have another doctor check you out.
