Same Old Same Old Nothing changes. The Officiating at the World Cup has always been the weakest part. FIFA seem either to not care, dont know how to change it , or are complicit in it.
Simple question. How in todays modern professional game does a player get 3 yellow cards before he gets a red and not one official on the field or on the sideline realises it or does anything about it. In a word Pathetic!!!!!

I've seen probably just under half of the matches and I would say 3 which is a shame. The best refs in the world are the ones who should be officiating now, and they should be getting 4s & 5s. What happened to the guy who did the final in'02 (bald, italian?)? He was great.

2 - they called too many yellows and reds. The Ref in the Japan/Brazil game today I would give a 4.5 to. He kept the play going; but over all the officiating was very shotty and unfair (the Equador/Germany game was the worst).

Please note that all the referees were told that they if they wanted to referee at World Cup, they needed to crack down on most of the penalties that previously had not been pulled up. These penalties should have been pulled up ages ago and so it is time that they have had a crack down on the players. Remember that if players played cleaner and did not take dives and played proper football, the referee would not have the problem is at hand. I give them a 4.5.

2- some of their calls are not on point. They are throwing around too many yellow and red cards at the minute tackles and it seems they are trying to make the games about them. I feel they will inhibit the games of the players.

very bad 2!
this evening game CRO vs. AUS is the worst.
Graham Pole didn't see two penalties, he gave to Croatian player Simunic 3 yellow cards before red one, instead two due to FIFA rules. Very bad, I must say again.
FIFA must select better refeerres for next WorldCup.
