Do not add bleach if you have fish in your pond - it will kill them.

You can try the algea destory chemicals, they help a little. The best thing tho is to plant a few trees for shade around the pond.

The more light it has, the most algea it will have. So unless you can get it out of teh amount of sunlight it has, it will continue to grow.

I suggest buying a few larger plecostomus fish. They eat algea and do a really good job at it. They are hardy and can get up to 18 inches big.

a little bit of chlorine bleach will remove the algae. Don't use to much it can damage other plants, start with about 1or 2 quarts for 35,000 gallons, wait 2 or 3 days add another quart oe two if you need to do so.!

There are plenty of algea destroyers on the market...a simple pond brush once a week will also help keep your pond sparkling throughout the summer. Pond magazines are great for different ways to get rid of algea...good luck!
