A = pi * r^2

In this case r = c / 2pi = 8pi / 2pi = 4

A = pi * (4)^2 = 16pi

A= Pi (r)^2 .... since the Circumference is 8pi and C = Pi (D) or Pi (2r), then r = 4

A = Pi (4)^2 ... 16Pi

i believe Area=pi times radius squared, correct? and circumference is pi times diameter, correct? So you start with 8(circumference)=pi times diameter, now solve for diameter.It comes out to diemeter divided by pi.Then plug that into Area=pi times radius squared.

C = 2pi * r
8pi = 2pi * r
r = 4

K = (Cr)/2
K = (8pi * 4)/2
K = 8pi * 2
K = 16pi

ANS : 16pi or about 50.265

pi*d=8cm
d=8/pi
r=4/pi
A=pi*r^2
A=pi*(4/pi)^2
=pi*16/pi^2
=16/pi
