I have a great opportunity to do something I've been wanting to try involving acting. I have a full time and crazy job that requires my attendance and to not show up unexpectantly would be a real hassel for the people I work with. Yes, I could call in sick, but my position is hard to fill at the last minute.

I have a once in a lifetime opportunity. My job is crazy sometimes, yet I don't want to lose it. I've worked far too long in my position to just up and quit my job. I guess I want to have my cake and eat it too. I'm just asking for some advise, not judgement.

I used this once and it worked. I said that my wife was ovulating and I had to go home for little who ha. My boss said it was the first time he had heard that one, and let me go. I also worked on a construction site and it was 102 degrees that day. He knew I was just going home to cool off.

call in and tell them that you don't value your job and you rather do something else.
