What's up with the americans. Because they lose to Czech Republic tie to Italy and then they lose to Gahna. Really it's crazy they tie the division E champion and lose to Czech Republic whos won one game. Then Gahna who's lucky to have made it to the second round.

because everyone in the US cares as much about soccer as we do about a healthy lifestyle.

Here is my version of events:

The US is bad at soccer, therefore it is not a great surprise that they lost to the Czech Republic. There might have also been some nervous gitters, but nonetheless, they lost.
The tie with Italy... The US made that game the most exciting of this Fifa, because I doubt there will ever be a game with a total of three red cards.
The game with Ghana. After Ghana vs Czech Republic, it seemed like Ghana was pretty strong, stronger than most expected. Therefore, I do not believe Ghana advanced solely on luck. You don't win two matches and score four points solely on luck.

If you're an American fan, I can dispute all of you arguments. The US should have felt bad because they lost to the Czechs. Using the much American idolized world rankings, the #5 lost to #2. However, then the US said the were "brave" when they barely tied with #13, Italy. #5 tied with #13, and said that the US players gave it their all. Then, #5 lost to #Insignificant-because-it-is-too-low solely on luck? I doubt it.

There is no luck in soccer, you are either fortunate to win or unfortunate to lose. The US was just unfortunate to lose as a result of poor officiating. I saw the matches against Italy and Ghana and everyone agrees that the refs were just too harsh. There was certainly no penalty in the match against Ghana. FIFA should look into the quality of officiating in the future matches or people will lose confidence and respect for the game.

Is life not fair or what! I was very sad to watch the US lose, but man we really need to get these guys to watch their offsides and the fouls. Also that penalty today should not have been a penalty. As for them losing to the other team well did you see how big the other teams were. I mean those darn Czech had a guy who was 6'3 thats not soccer player thats a giraffe. GRRR

We're just new to european football. Football is a worldwide sport except for pretty much America where it's less popular. Once interest starts growing more and we're involved more with football, then we will improve. Hopefully our teams attitude will improve as well. I have to admit, constantly blaming the game on calls? Maybe the calls weren't good, but that's no excuse and the calls in the Australia/Croatia game were totally strange...still no other team is complaining.

The US had no team since the get go. Ya'll see 'em the first game - they walked the entire time. If a team can't play as a team or even make an effort they don't deserve to win. Every team they (the USA) played - played 100 times better and with more passion than USA ever did. Simply put they didn't deserve it.

your making it sound like US played better than Ghana ! ...DO you watch the games are just keep drinking bud and shouting US US US?? The reason they tied with Italy is due to the fact the Itlaina player shot it in his own net . I am for routting for brasil ...but if you were honest with yourself you would know ghana is a better skilled team

Us americans suck at soccer. I'm sorry, but we do. If we could get over ourselves, and just play soccer, forget about sponsors and playing agains 3rd world countries (who can kick our butt any time of the day) we would have a much better chance.

It's not our skillz, it's our mindset.
