because, although they are average-sized, in comparison to the ridiculously skinny stars populating Hollywood, they seem overweight---well, anyone would if they were standing next to nicole richie...anyone but a skeleton.

Because Raven Symone is fat. Mariah Carey isn't too bad, she thick. I'm not saying that all celebs should be anorexic thin. Curvy celebs like Beyonce are hot. But the truth is Raven and Mariah both have a little extra meat on them.

i totally agree with the statement that lindsay lohan and nicole richie are not good role models, though. neither is paris hilton. they are just the society girls of the moment, and they do things to get in the press as often as they can (like the manufactured fight between paris & nicole - can you say "we need something to get higher ratings for the simple life"?). Sadly, somebody out there said those girls had "style" and now every little girl in america feels like they have to emulate them... i guess their parents aren't as strict as mine were - there's no way i would have been allowed to dress like any of those girls!

It's usually because people feel bad about themselves, and to them, people like Mariah and Raven seem "fat", when really, they're not. They're usually jealous of people and celebs like them, because they're admired. So, people that feel uncomfortable with themselves often take it out on others, or jealousy kicks in. Some people look to anorexics, like Lindsay and Nicole to get a self-esteem boost. Like "I HAVE to be more like her". But really, some people need to face the facts. Ask yourself this question when you see a "rail-thin" celeb on tv or at the movies "Is that even healthy?". Probably not. I don't get some people either. Who'd rather look anorexic and be stupid, rather than to be healthy and smart. We need to face the facts!

there is not any doubt that Mariah is too warm! Even in her loopy days. there is in simple terms some thing about Raven that makes her more effective proper, for my section. She is a touch larger yet she nonetheless makes me pick to observe inspite of she is in. She's particularly hotter at the same time as she's whispering or in simple terms speaking in a low-tone voice because i'm no longer down with loud azz females like the way she is a good number of the time.

The only people who say that are the little insecure toothpicks of the world and the media who are out to soothe them. Those girls are beautiful and healthy and most guys I know can't stand skinny rails. They like a little meat on the bones. Now I could understand if these girls were unhealthy but they are not. Because it's the images that have been portrayed during the years that women should weigh 98lbs to be sexy. But in reality women like Mariah, Raven, Beyonce are average and healthy they should be what we look up to.
