I am so angry at my Dad but he did nothing to me. I get so ticked whenever he talks to me, and I just want to yell at him. Why am I like this?

I am the exact same way. If you still live at home, like me, then this might be it. I blame him for my lack of freedom. And he always seems to be right. He makes me go to church and things I don't want to do, and he always has an excuse to make me go. He's really nice and loves me and cares about me, but I still hate him sometimes, because it's like, he'll say no to something I want to do, and state his reason, then I have a better reason, but it's like he pushes it aside and doesn't even listen to it. And also, he's far from perfect, but around me, he never messes up. And it drives me crazy. I can't stand when people don't hardley ever mess up. It drives me crazy. I like when people mess up, then I can use that against them. But since I can use nothing against my dad, he is the boss. And I think he's was too overprotective of me, and that causes a lot of tension, cause I'm 16, can just now date, and still can't walk the neighborhood after dark. Does he not realize I can drive to the other side of the country if I wanted to?!

Sometimes we feel anger that we cannot explain. I feel anger towards people that have not done anything to me. We tend to take out our anger to the people we care for the most. That is because we know they care and we don't mind showing our emotions in front of them. Sometimes it helps just to let him know exactly how you feel; "Hey Dad, I feel so much anger towards you and I'm not sure why. Can we sit down and talk for a minute."

Well, if you are a teen it just comes natural. And if you are younger than teen, ask your mother. If you are an adult then maybe you just don't like him. No law says you have to like your family. You said he didn't do anything to provoke your angry feelings, just be sure to respect him.

You will never find some one who cares about you like your dad
you will never find some one who loves you like your dad
you will never find some one who understand you like your dad
so as long as you have him respect him and love him and listen to him
his love is unconditional

There is a lot missing here. You should give some examples as to his conversations as well as your response.
