Get some lettuce, Romaine works the best. Rinse it off really well under the tap and put it at the bottom of your aquarium. The fish are going to nibble, that's no problem.
Leave it about 30 minutes, snails will climb on to eat, then you can lift them out with the lettuce. Put the lettuce down the garbage disposal. If you don't have one sprinkle all the snails with salt so they die, you don't want to let them into the ecosystem in your area.
You will need to do this a few times a week for about a month to get all of them. Then repeat in another month to make sure they are all gone.
Good luck.

You can try the snail killing chemical. some stores still carry it. I know that we stopped selling it in CA though because it became illegal.

You could add a clown loach to your aquarium (assuming it is a freshwater tank). They like to eat snails and do not tend to bother community fish. Do not add him if you have agressive fish like chiclids though.

The problem with these little things is that they asexually reproduce so fast. So if you miss one - then you will have a lot more in a few days.

I don't reccommend taking all the water and the fish out to clean the tank. This can stress your fish out very badly and potentially kill some. It's not worth risking it for some harmless snails.

Goldfish eat them too.

I agree with James. If you don't have lettuce almost any veggie will work, you may have to do it a few times though depending on how many you are trying to get rid of. If you see any that you can grab just pull them out. I think taking them out of the tank and disposing of them is better then using something to kill them and have a bunch of dead snails in your tank. Don't release them into a river or lake though.

If you reduce the hardness in your tank's water chemistry it will stop the snails from producing their shells (i.e. they need calicum and other forms of minerals to produce these shells) and thus become tasty treats for your fish.
A better and less complicated way to deal with them (and without using chemicals) is to use snail eating fish. Any loaches with the botia family generally consume snails with much vigor. Clown, chain, tiger and zebra loaches are known for their snail busting advantages.

Two ways:

A) If you have a large enough tank, buy a clown loach..they will eat up all those pesky snails for ya!

B) A penny...yes, a penny...copper kills invertibrets..so if you have any other shrimp or crayfish, then don't do this..there are some stores who have copper in a bottle...we had to use it at our store when we had this nasty parasite...did the trick ^__^ And yes, I have heard the penny truly does work ^__^V

Snails are invertebrates and can be killed using a special tonic you put in the water. You can buy it at most pet stores and it will not harm your fish. Ask the guy at the counter.
