Lynn is my middle name also, but I think it sounds fine, its just with 2 sylables and then 1, If you stress the second part it sort of makes up for it.

i have a good friend with the same name. I do agree it doesn't "flow" as well, but it is a very nice name and isn't funny at all! :-)

there is nothing wrong with your name at all, is the name your parents named you so be proud of it. What makes your friends name so special she might be hating on your name that's all.

what do you care what your friend thinks, it's not her name.
I can't imagine a friend telling me they don't like my name. Usually if people don't like your name, they don't like YOU. So perhaps what you need is a new friend, not a new name.
