of course you can try the Reno area, and around Lake Tahoe, but first go online and practice your favorite game. try yahoo.games first, perhaps blackjack or poker, whatever strikes you as the most fun, and practice practice practice, then when its your first time in a real casino be sure to tell them its your first time in a real casino. its fun, all the security camera's like zoom in on you as if you want to cheat them, as if 'the just a beginner' explanation is a sham. as if.

I would suggest a trip to Reno, NV. It is only about a 3 hours drive.
