2 weeks ago at a party my man built me up all night, telling me he had something to tell me but it had to wait till we were alone. so after the party and pretty wasted when we got home he told me he loved me (i said it back ). well he hasn't told me again and being asked why not, he said he didn't want to be saying it all the time? WTF? btw, we're 22 and have known each other since high school? does he mean it or not?

I think he does. Drunk people have a tendency to tell the truth of what they really think about people. However, he may be a bit shy and may think of it as a *gasp* public display of affection, which could be really uncomfortable for him. Just let him get comfortable around you after you've gone out for awhile and maybe he'll start saying it.

He did not mean it if he was wasted... He probably does not even remember even saying it to you! When he is sober and says it then believe it!

If he can't say it sober, then he probably didn't mean it. He doesn't sound too affectionate. I like hearing those words.
