Why isn’t my XHTML validating?!?

It was working, and then I did some more stuff, and now it's not working again...

the following doesn't go below the doc type. i would leave it out if i were you. all it does is force internet explorer into the quirks mode anyway.



your page has no character encoding. use this



you can't use bgcolor in xhtml. check the reference pages. use css instead. it will give you more control anyway.

I'm assuming that you're validating at the W3C validator site. If not, go to http://validator.w3.org/ and enter your URL in the field. It will tell you what your errors are and why. There were 11 errors found and the W3C site will tell you how to fix the errors and where they are.
