Although Ive never gone to a school with uniforms, I know why they wear them.

The staff are idiots and want everyone to look the same so they will LOOK more religious AND so that they wont be checking each other out.

However, thats not true, because some school uniforms are okay.

In case you have uniforms, heres some tips on how to look unique but still follow dress code.

Change shoes if you can. If you cant, just get awesome laces.

Paint nails-and if you arent allowed to have dark colors, paint each nail a different light color.

For makeup, if you arent allowed to wear it, go for the simple basics. Blush, moderate mascara, foundation, coverup. Make it look natural, so if teachers ask about your blush say its natural. Natural but sexy.

For jewerly- if you have to wear small and simple necklaces and earrings-go for different color studs for earrings and get as crazy as you can with necklaces.

Remember-going to the BORDERLINE is NOT breaking rules.

Peace and I hope these tips help girls with uniforms.

For a couple of reasons.

1. Kids can be incredibly insensitive and downright mean. For some kids whose parents aren't made of money, they don't have the ability to buy the newest gear. So for those whose parents have some dough, they tend to look down at the kids who don't.

2. It allows kids to look at another's character to determine friendship instead of what they are wearing. A while back there was a big problem with gangs and their associated colors in school causing scraps. That has been lessened but the effect upon the school community, pretty large.

That's just my opinion.

when we wore uniforms, the purpose was so that:

1. an intruder would be easily recognized in the school facility(even though they could easily buy a school uniform)

2. so that other students with not so much money would not feel out of place in a name brand school.
AND

3. so that they can piss you off

Because you may have on an expensive brand of clothes, and I may have on a thrift store brand. It's to make kids feel equal and so less fortunate kids dont feel inferior b/c their clothes aren't trendy. This way they can focus on learning & not clothes.

Its simple, because its more simple to get dressed in the morming, it doesn't take hours to choose wat we wear at school. And there are less discriminations.
