I LOVE my hip hop and r&b, but for the past 6 months probably I have been listening to more country. Why? I don't know! My taste in music changed slightly I guess. But it's good to expand genres like that.

I listen to all sorts of music fromald and new rock to classical. I was never really impressed with the whole rap thing. It is mainly for those that can't write music or sing....Just take someone elses song and "talk" over it. Yea...REAL talent there!

The very early ones had the most talent though of all of them. You could give them a subject and they would run with it and create rhymes right off the top of there heads. But none of the hate/crime/woman bashing crap they call rap now. And don't even get me started on the white "rappa" want-to-be's! Leave it to the blacks that have more rythym and style when it comes to this type of music.

Those like eminem and others just sound silly when they try to be all up in your face like that. LOL It looks fine comming from a black person but when a white guy tries it I just have to wonder if he is trying to make up for some "short" comming in his life.

Ummmmm... NO.
I work in radio and I can tell you that a lot of the stuff you hear on radio is CRAP. Unfortunately the little knuckleheads and hoochies are to blame for all the bad hip hop being played.

I can let you know of some good hip hop artists with good lyrical content if you like. just email me.

Yeah, I turned to country music because rap let me down. (sarcasm) Come on guy! It is music. It shouldn't let you down. Sounds to me like you are just trying different styles of music and are learning to appreciate more than just a hot beat and some rhyming. I love rap, but will occassionally listen to country and many other styles of music. There are great songs out there in every genre. You don't have to stay loyal to just one.
